Melbourne welcomed in Sunday with lovely sunshine and blue sky, only to have it ripped away by dark clouds and showers by lunchtime. That said, I did 3 loads of washing. Go me. How was it for other Aussies?
Speaking of being Australian (shit segue sorry), how about those Olympics?
Hands up if you think James Brayshaw is a terrible commentator when it comes to male sport? And for female sport? ATROCIOUS! I remember watching the rowing where the Aussie women were coming comfortably 3rd and Brayshaw referred to them as ‘young girls’ before continuing his less-than-enthused fact-reeling which concentrated largely on past performances of the rowers, rather than the current race. However, when I tuned in for the mens race shortly after, Brayshaw nearly lost his shit with excitement – despite the fact the Aussie’s were coming last – and gave a more emotional, less statistical take on the event.
Anyway, the winner of this week’s She Who Must Not Be Named Award is Zoe Smith, who provides “An Olympian weightlifter’s blog responds to the men — and women — who hate on bodies different from their own”. Need more be said? Nope, start reading!!!!!
