  1. Good work Elouise – when are the the Australian Public going to take notice and not block the humanity of women (that includes a lot of women as well). Barbie still rules a lot of the ‘uneducated’.

    • Yeh, except that Barbie was the first female President of the USA, first woman in space and has won loads of olympic gold medals all while raising various children, having multiple male dominated jobs like dentist and looking after her blended family. Admittedly her body is completely fucked and she only became anything other than a white complexioned blonde in later decades, but she’s done some cool stuff in her life.

That said, she’s only one woman and it takes a lot more than one to make gender diversity, as we can see in the Abbott ministry.

  2. This is clear and concise statistics. Well done for the succinclty presented information, I can only hope this information is distributed to more people so they can see what gross inequality we are experiencing in Australia.

    • Wow there is a logical and rational explanation for everything mention in this picture. The fact that you people think that business and politics should fill a quota of men and women is somewhat backwards, i mean women are not always the best/most qualified people for the job. when you say women in politics are on average more educated i wonder how many of the educational qualifications are actually relevant to politics or anything for that matter. the reason women on average earn less over there working lives is because of the simple fact of human nature. I know feminist hate to admit it but women get pregnant and in most cases stop working for extended periods of time. And finally the starting pay difference i would very much like to know ere you got this information. As a scientifically minded person there are probably thousands of variables which may lead to this.

      • Hi Mr Realist,

There is SO much evidence worldwide in both specific studies, meta-analysis and statistical data that replying to your comment is really a waste of my time, but as you have taken the time to consider this issue I recommend you explore the issue more deeply. You will discover that reality is far from what you think it is.

      • I thought this site was called Femin”aust” not femin”worldwide” the picture up top is clearly about Australia NOT the world. I was talking specifically about Australia so the reply you wrote has no rebuttal to the points i have made.

      • True. Evidence comes from worldwide sources. But the basic facts stand for Australia as well.
As previously suggested, do a little research. Child bearing is not the only cause for women’s under-representation at the top and for a failure to appropriately renumerate women both across the lifespan and on a week to week basis. In fact, family responsibilities can be accounted for and women’s financial position remains unacceptable. This happens in every sector at every level and for both complex and simple reasons, but the biggest general cause is ignorance. People just don’t believe that this is possible in our country in this day and age. But it does. I’ve seen it happen in some of the highest offices in the land first hand and I’ve read plenty of very very reputable statistical evidence as well as some very interesting blinded studies into these issues.

I’m really happy to engage in actual debate via this platform but if you’re only going to come up with hostile and unresearched sideways comments, this isn’t the place for you.

      • Dear Elouise,
I have taken your advice and done some research into this matter. I have learnt that you need to preheat the oven to 180 degrees before putting the cake in, and the shopping channel is very addictive. In other words i didn’t learn anything because women rights are equal in Australia. what you are pushing for is for women to be the dominate species and enslave men. you seem to feel that you are directly affected by Shari law and or born in the 1800’s. I am planning to start my own EXTREMIST group supporting male rights. “meninaust”.com, feel free to join. I hope that Mr Realist decides to join as well.
