Carole Middleton Offers Advice for Women Entrepreneurs – ‘Follow Your Gut’ | royal | News
Kate Middleton’s mother celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 by sharing an empowering message on her Party Pieces Instagram account. The 67-year-old also gave an interview to SheerLuxe about balancing motherhood and running a business, and offered some important advice.
She posted: “I love being able to be myself at work and making decisions that feel instinctively right to me.
“I’m passionate about giving that opportunity to other women too, which is why we have a lot of women making key decisions at Party Pieces.
“I always tell women who are going into business to do things their own way and be themselves.
“It may be easier said than done, but don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself or make tough decisions, seek advice from trusted associates and follow your instincts.”
Speaking to SheerLuxe, she said there is no “magic formula” for balancing motherhood and working life.
She added: “Like most working parents, I had to be very organized, get up early and fit my work around school hours, while after-school clubs sometimes gave me an extra hour or two as a gift.
“But working for me meant I had flexibility, so I could squeeze into sports matches and school productions.

She added: “My advice to working mums? Accept help when it is offered.
“It can be tempting to try to do it all, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day.
“People like to help and it’s good to say yes sometimes.
“It’s also essential to surround yourself with a good team that you trust, so that they can step in if you need them.”
